IT’S THE BIG 25!
25 years ago today, our first 3 Nicktoons aired on Nickelodeon: Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, and Doug. We’re thankful for these wonderful characters that began a legacy that continues to inspire us as we create and grow. Thank you for tuning in these past 25 years and creating such great fan art every day! We hope you join us in embarking on 25 more years and beyond!

On August 11th, 1991, Ren and Stimpy, Doug and the Rugrats became the very first Nicktoons when they premiered on Nickelodeon, starting a revolution in kids’ TV animation.
Today we’re celebrating 25 Years of creator-driven, kid-inspired, original Nickelodeon Animation and all the amazingly talented people that made it all happen!
Thank you fans for being such an important part of our past, present and future!!

We celebrated Nickelodeon Animation’s 25th Anniversary with a custom “Happy Happy Joy Joy: 25 Years of Creator-Driven Cartoons” exhibit in partnership with California State University- Fullerton (CSUF) and their Begovich Gallery space.
Past and present Nickelodeon creators came to commemorate the occasion and to inspire the future artists who will be making an impact these next 25 years!
